À propos
Art therapy for adolescents provides a supportive space where young people can explore their emotions, cope with life’s challenges, and express themselves through artistic creation.
The therapeutic process consist in three phases, each with a specific focus and tailored to individual needs.
Phase I - The Opening Phase
Sessions 1 to 3
The first sessions focus on building trust and identifying the central theme of therapy. The therapist creates a safe and respectful space where the adolescent can feel heard and explore their emotions, relationships, identity, and current life experiences.
Phase II - The Middle Phase
Sessions 4 to 9
During this phase, the adolescent explores and addresses the fundamental concerns identified earlier. The focus is on current emotions, relationships, and patterns of behavior, both in daily life and within the therapeutic relationship.
Phase III - The Termination Phase
Sessions 10 to 12
As therapy comes to an end, the teenager has the opportunity to explore any feelings that may arise in connection with the separation, such as sadness, anger, or a sense of loss. The therapist helps the teenager express these emotions while reflecting on their progress, their strengths, and new ways of understanding and independently coping with challenges.
***Therapy may consist of 12, 16, or even 40 sessions, based on each individual's needs.
