About

Art therapy for adults offers a supportive space to explore emotions and navigate life's challenges through creative expression.

The therapeutic process consist in three phases, each with a specific focus and tailored to individual needs.

Phase I - The Opening Phase

Sessions 1 to 3

The first few sessions focus on building trust and establishing a safe therapeutic relationship. Together, the therapist and the client identify the main issue they would like to address and agree on a clear goal and a time frame for art therapy.

Phase II - The Middle Phase

Sessions 4 to 9

This phase focuses on exploring emotional patterns and experiences that may be difficult to recognize or express. The adult client gains a deeper understanding of the relationship between early experiences, emotions, and current challenges.

Phase III - The Termination Phase

Sessions 10 to 12

As therapy comes to an end, the therapist and client take some time to reflect on the experience and discuss their feelings about parting ways. Together, they review the progress made, and identify ways to apply the client’s new self-awareness and coping skills in everyday life.

***Therapy may consist of 12, 16, or even 40 sessions, based on each individual's needs.
